Douglas A. Schenck is a native Southern Californian having been born and raised in Arcadia, California. Mr. Schenck is an experienced litigator who has tried, arbitrated or mediated hundreds of cases across the state of California. He has also litigated cases in Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and New York. Mr. Schenck began his legal career as an insurance defense attorney with a midsize firm in downtown Los Angeles. He then worked for a large national law firm in both Los Angeles and Orange County where he defended catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases as well as large loss property casualty claims. During this tenure, Mr. Schenck handled some of the largest cases in California.

Experience is cumulative. From this extensive background in defending insurance companies and their insureds and appearing literally thousands of times in depositions, mediations, arbitrations and trial, Mr. Schenck brings a vast knowledge and intangible wealth of resources to every case he takes on.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Schenck spent 8 years as a successful commercial real estate broker with Grubb & Ellis Company handling the sales and leasing of industrial, commercial and investment properties. He attended the University of Southern California where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance in 1987. He received his Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School in 1998. In his first year of law school, Mr. Schenck was named Best Oralist Alternate in the 1995-96 Intramural Moot Court Competition. In his third year, Mr. Schenck was awarded Second Place in the 1997-98 I.H. Prinzmetal National Writing Competition for his published article concerning the Post-Romero California Three Strikes legislation.

Mr. Schenck is a member of the California State Bar; the United States Supreme Court; the United States District Court for the Central, Southern, and Eastern Districts of California; the American Bar Association; Los Angeles County Bar Association; Beverly Hills Bar Association; Orange County Bar Association; Orange County Trial Lawyers Association; the Consumer Attorneys of California and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
